Yo, Adrian, where's Butkis........................!!
That's right, Sly is back to do one more Rocky and at the age of sixty. This is one movie I'll definitely not miss. The fact Sly is training hard to try and pull off such a physical role has my admiration. But it has to be tough to do this at 60 years of age and hope the audience will take you seriously.
So far as I gleaned, the plot sees Rocky coming back for one last fight against the odds and a little over the hill.
P.S. Sly got his whole idea for Rocky after watching Chuck Wepner survive several rounds with Muhammad Ali and actually knock the butterfly down on the canvas.
But while we wait for that movie to come out, of course, there is also King Kong on the horizon.

Shooting has begun in L.A., I believe. Sly has been training hard in the gym to look something like decent in the role of Rocky. I heard Mr T will have a part as well - the dude from Rocky 3.
Last I saw Sly he looked O.K. in the Contender series when he appeared as co-host with Sugar Ray. I don't know whether Talia Shire will star in this sequel but maybe she will.

"Rocky Balboa is the next story in the saga of Philadelphia boxer Rocky Balboa, one of Hollywood's most beloved characters. In the film, Rocky has long since retired but is drawn back to the boxing ring one last time. On the way he is challenged by a powerful new champion, by personal tragedy and ultimately by himself.
According to Stallone, "'Rocky Balboa' is about everybody who feels they want to participate in the race of life, rather than be a bystander. You're never too old to climb a mountain, if that's your desire."
Dan Taylor, President of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, stated, "We're convinced the Rocky franchise is as strong as ever, with a whole new generation of filmgoers ready to be introduced and an established fan base eager to be reacquainted with this iconic character. We felt it was the perfect first film to be green lit under the 'new' MGM."
"In many ways, the screenplay really took me back to the original 'Rocky,'" said Revolution Studios founder Joe Roth. "As a past champion, Rocky Balboa is once again a regular guy who has to find himself and deal with real life. This film brings Rocky's story full-circle."
The film will be produced by Charles Winkler, William Chartoff and David Winkler. Robert Chartoff and Irwin Winkler, the producers of the previous "Rocky" films, will serve as executive producers."

I don't know whether Talia Shire will star in this sequel but maybe she will. That would be nice to see her in the movie, she is pretty cool. Her whole family seems to be interesting and "well grounded". Her brother 'Francis Ford Coppola, owns a family winery in Napa California (Rutherford Valley). The land that he has his estate and vinyard on used to be the original Englenook winery and estate.

Carl Weathers was also pretty good as well but they killed him off in Rocky 4. I'm just hoping Sly can pull this off. Muhammad Ali was only in his thirties when he quit boxing so 60 years of age is pretty old to be dancing around the ring.

I watched Danny Williams come in at 20 stones on Saturday which was a mistake. At that weight, you lose your endurance and speed. Sure, you gain in clinches and inside fighting but that's if you can catch your opponent.
Personally, I think Sonny Liston, Foreman, Frazier and Ali were far better than today's fighters.
