View Full Version : Carrera Subway 1
Hi
I have just seen the Carrera Subway 1 womens bike at Halfords and wondered if anyone has any views on it?
I want to replace my old mountain bike with a something a bit sleeker and more suitable for road use. I'm hoping to do more cycling at weekends (around 15-20miles) and use around town midweek. Would this bike serve my purpose well?
It's £199.99, a little more than I wanted to pay tbh and then there's the added expense of the mudguards. My main concern is buying it from Halfords though. As a family, we've always purchased bikes from a small local business (I've looked and seen nothing suitable there this time) where the after service is second to none.
Basically, are there similar but cheaper alternatives to this bike and would my concerns about Halfords be justified?
Thanks
