I live in Israel

saturday morning is century ride

for most riders here

on roads in the jerusalem vicinity.

I meet riders on the way and pelotons are formed

there are a few preferable and or chalenging routes

so different groups split up along the way

to do their own stages.

during weekdays chances are I will solo train

unless I meet with some one on the road.

I ride a Gios Chromo for the flats and my Trek Composite

for the hills.

I weigh 63Kg and 5'7feet tall.

I have been riding since 1985.

thats about it.

regards.

Hey eveyone--

This is Stan and i live in Los Angeles. Just found this forum and decided to join in. I've ridden dirt bikes (motorcyles) for a number of years but had to give it up after all my riding buddies had near death experiences (i.e., didn't have anyone to ride with and started to realize that it was getting a bit much for me too). My last bike was a YX-400 (2 stroke). anyway, i recently went mb'ing with a friend of mine who's into it and after only a couple of rides i can see myself starting to get really hooked.

I've been riding his '96 Gary Fisher Paragon, but am now looking to buy and thought this would be a great place to get some advice. I'll post this question in a more appropriate place, but for now I just wanted to say hey...

Stan

Hi! I'm Joyce, I am a commuter cyclist, but I'm also interested in doing some velodrome and road cycling if I can make time for it. I took a velodrome taster session in Manchester last night, what a rush, I'm hoping to go again soon. Anyway, living in the UK right now as a student, and I'm originally from BC, Canada. Glad there are some friendly forums out there to surf! :)Did you get around to practicing echelon riding with others, or was you just riding around, riding with awarness of the others on the track and hitting the blue stayer line?

its fun ain't it, totally different feeling to that of riding around on the road. :D Glad you enjoyed it, my opinion is its far better than riding around in gail force winds and rain, which you will experience plenty of during the next few months.

Anyway, welcome to the Uk and i hope you have an enjoyable stay with us, maybe i'll bump into you on the track one day, not litterally however i am a little better rider than that, ;) just a little better. :D what are you studying??

Hi all,
I'm a 30 somthing computer tech from the Twin Cities. I love to ride and am for the first time actually coming into my own in the field of fitness. I don't get to ride enough, but want to try to commute to work, 60 miles round trip, by next Spring, at least twice a week. I bought a hydro trainer at a garage sale and am riding for a bit five times a week. I also have delusions of grandeur and think I might be able to do a triathlon one day.

I really want to build a fixie, which brought me to this forum to start with.
Peace

Shannon

Nice to see someone trying triathlon!!!

Manchester UK, Ride about 3 times pw maybe about 40-50k or a little more with my sunday ride being Lond slow dist. But I also run and swim too and do 1 gym session pw. Peaking for a tri in 7 months. Also going to join a local road club before X-mas.

I'm from New Hampshire and sadly watching the cycling season wane away. My miles has switched from the road to the trainer. Bummer!

I'm from wordsley in the west midlands, where there is some fantastic mtb riding within pedalling distance. I have two bikes, both giants, vt and nrs. I normally pedal about 50 mile a week off road and do two sessions on the turbo trainer a week. i did sleepless and mountain mayhem in the miserable excuse for a summer we had.

I'm from Niantic, CT but I'm going to University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth, Mass right now. I do triathlons in the summer and I am on a swim team in the winter. Right now I'm only able to get out about 4 times a week for about 25 miles. I love long rides on the weekends.

Robert is from chicago and I try to dominate the B-group.

I'm on the harsh end of the bell-curve age-wise but vow to continue soldiering on the road the track and against the clock.

Riding thru the winter in Chi-town and seeking to regain a bit of form after years off the saddle but on the soccer field.
