Where are you from, what do you do?
I am a student in Boston, MA, however I currently reside in St. Paul, MN for the summer. I started biking a month ago and I am currently unemployed. I put in about 12-20miles 3-5 times a week, i have yet to race. I don't know if i want to race since my area is so competative and most of the riders are pricks(by pricks i mean that their bikes don't break or shift uncontrollably while they ride, cost more than my life, and are not more than a quarter of a century old...i'm sure they are nice people, but they don't take me seriously...i mean rightly so, but they are mean...i guess i don't even take myself seriously). Anyways, I try to get a drink in here and there and do my fair share of checking out the ladies when i'm not busy sleeping, or in class, or whining about how i have no job and no money, or about how my bike sucks, or about the new haricut that i got which also sucks. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
And this is the end of my first post.

I dont work anymore. I started out as a computer programmer and then I inherited some money when i was 22 and bought and sold property for 5 years and pretty much set myself up for life. Anyway, it means i have more time than most to ride, which is pretty much what i live for these days - makes me feel really alive. I love chatting with other bikers...hee hee especially the chicks!
I bought my own house 3 years ago and I still havent unpacked!
Next year I am planning to buy a boat and live on it with some friends and travel round doing some road/mtb riding.
Currently I ride everyday, except when the nasty UK weather is just too bad!

I am From Phelan, California, United States. I just started Mountain Biking 4 days a week. I lift the other 3 days. I am 40 and purchased a Trek 4300, it is not much, but it is what I can afford. The RST Capa fork is not the greatest, but it will do for now. I do bnot know the difference from any of the different types of mountain biking, so lets just say I ride up and down the foothills at the base of the mountain and sometimes the mountain itself. These are the same trails I ride my KX500 on. I am an Emergency Medical Tech on an Ambulance and have been for 13 years.

Hey all I'm 17, a trackie, and found this forum, by mistake. Its bluddy awsum....I'm from mackay, queensland,Aust, where we have a 400m ashphalt roundabout for our velodrome next to a BMX track i used to race on couple years ago, amoungst sugar cane paddocks. In track season i travel 400k south every second weekend to race in rockhampton as they have proper velo. set up, and more riders compared to our 8 dedicated trackies..thats a bit bout me.....

I am from Reading, just west of London, and I've been cycling for about four years now. I was up until recently commuting 20 miles a day, but my move into Reading and recent surgery has temporarily curtailed it. Should be back in the saddle in a couple of weeks.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Hope you're riding again soon!

My name is Gavin, I live in the bush here in Zululand. My friend Gareth also lives in the bush not far away and we love to ride our mountain bikes! We are team Crusty Demon and would like to hear from anyone registered to do the Cape Epic 2005 or anyone who did the inaugural race this year. We need some advice on training and anyone out there is welcome to ride with us if you are in the Hluhluwe area.

I live in Austin, Texas, USA. I am a firefighter/EMT/Haz-Mat tech. I'm just now getting into the roadbike scene. I bought a Nishiki on e-bay to get started, my friends all have specialized bikes. Any one know of a fire dept. that pays well enough to afford a better bike? I am just looking to get back in shape, and hopfully become part of a community as strong as the Volkswagen community I am already a part of. So far, from looking at this site, It looks like ya'll have a strong community, and I'd like to be a part of it.

I hear Austin is a good place to live. Welcome to the forum. I'm from Virginia. I also had a 62' bug w/ a 1498cc single port. I loved that car until the day it was stolen a couple of years ago. Now I'm devoting more time to bikes.

Howdy folks...I'm from Clackamas, Oregon. I work in customer training and support for a local software company.
I'm just getting back on to two wheels again after a long time. I'm in the process of putting a road bike together. I got a 1990 Centurion Ironman Master frame to work with. So I'm sure I'll have some posts in the tech section on putting some parts on the thing.
So yeah...that's me....
Cheers to you all!

Hi, I'm Samad from Hospet near world heritage center Hampi, India. I love to ride bicycle to save the mother earth from pollution. This also improves our health. I have been conducting the awareness class to the high school and college students to use eco friendly devices like bicycle. Thanks.
