Hi, Im from Cleveland, ohio.I am a milk man. I am new to the bike thing. I have two bikes , both Specialized. One is a hybrid for commuting back and forth to work. and the other is my Allez road bike. I am 42 years old and last Saturday was my longest ride yet. 30 miles in alittle over two hours with some hills and against the wind. The weather has been real crappy. I encountered a problem with my Allez. it started making alot of noise from the ritchie da 22 rear hub. Now i am afraid to ride this crackling, bearing noise bike for fear of being stranded! This is a new bike. I went to my LBS and he ordered the part. taking forever to come in. thank god I have two bikes.

Where are you from, what do you do?
Hi....I'm new to the forum.
I'm from Englewood, Ohio and have been riding bikes all my life. I'm strictly a recreational rider and stick mainly to the bike trails in our area. My riding partners are usually my teenage granddaughters. We often travel to out-of-state trails just for a change of scenery. We've taken vacations to ride part of the Katy Trail and Erie Canal in NY. My daughter and I drove to Virginia a few years ago to ride the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. We also participate in a "Bike for the Health of It" program sponsored by the Metro Parks in the area. I'm also a volunteer bike patrolman for the parks.
I have a two year old granddaughter and we introduced her to biking last summer. I have a Burley solo trailer for her and she loves riding with us.
I'm in the process of buying a new road bike. I've been riding hybrids the past few years and was bitten by the road bike bug this year. I think it's about time to get rid of a few bikes or build a larger garage!

I am American & I just moved back to the states from Spain. I also lived in Milan before that. I am in Boston now & moving to NY to start work & grad school in June. I am an IM Triathlete, but I like to do other things besides swim, bike & run. I love to travel & learn about new things, (religions, cultures, etc). I have lots of races planned this season.

I'm from Italy. I speak English but not very well, so it's difficult to understand everything written in the forum messages. I bike in my region, Umbria. There are many places to bike I know here: Assisi, Trasimeno Lake, River Tiber hills of Perugia and mountain around it. Did someone of us travel to Umbria?

Howdy folks, i'm a 22-yo guy from illinois. i'll finish up college in a couple weeks and then i'm off to atlanta to start grad school at Georgia Tech (i hear there's lots of good riding in Atlanta so i'm looking forward to it).
i've been riding pretty seriously for about 5 years; i get out whenever time and weather permits (a fair-weather cyclist, but hey...). my bike is a trek city/hybrid that i threw drop bars and sti shifters on for my long rides, and pretty soon i'm gonna put together a new touring/cx setup.
cheers, happy pedalling

Hello, I'm a part-time rider with a Trek 1500. I'm in Kansas City, USA. This is my first decent road bike and up to now, I've had a Giant Cypress which is a half-decent hybrid. I generally ride a 20 mile paved bike trail in my neighborhood and I avoid riding on streets since it pisses me off when I'm driving and a group of bikers keeps me from doing my normal speed of ten miles over the speed limit. I'll work on that phobia but in the mean-time, I intend to enjoy my new Trek road bike. Cheers.

I'm from Melbourne, Australia, ride on weekends in winter about 80 - 100 km and more in summer and holidays. I ride a Giant OCR 1 which is a great bike, excellent value for money. I'm a relative newbie (6 months) and took up riding to train for triathlons. I'm a lawyer by trade.
