Hi everybody.. I am Ivy from Malaysia!! I am 16 years old this year.. well... not really 16.. 15 years and 5 months! :P I do 2 hours lazy ride per week and everyday sunday/saturday I do specific training on it.. ( just started recently..!! ) support me k?

I don't have much technical support from my team, that's for sure, I work as a motorsport journalist to finance my cycling ambition. Nearly all my friends are enthusiastic of my activity. When did you visited Romania ?

Well I went on this teck in a coach across Europe with a school trip in 96. I was escorting my daughter and a bunch of teens (oh, what joy). We left England (my homeland) to France, crossed through Germany & Austria. It was a trip of a life-time - everybody everywhere we went were friendly, happy people! I loved the different culture - hated the bus trip (my butt by the end of the trip must have taken on the shape of the coach seat - ewk); but, it was so worth it. I know the folks there were coming through some hard times; but, I had no doubt the country is full of some bloody hardy soles! How long have you biking? Shall we look for your name in lights? I have not been biking long; but, have always wanted to get into it. I am in love with my bike and am ready to ride again after a little hickup. The weather here is improving and I will be dusting off the machine .. happy riding!

hi! i'm new!! i'm from the uk, i originate from cambridge but i'm living in wales as a student. i havent done serious seriouos biking but would really like to. i have been using the gym mainly but as the weather gets better i want to get outside again!

I used to live in Saffron Walden, Essex about 15 miles away from Cambridge. Left in 1985, now live in Colorado Springs, CO, USA. When can you start riding in Wales? Here we get some cold and snowy weather; but, it melts off quickly. I am hoping to dust the ole bike off soooooooooon. Do you have a road or mt bike?

I took my bike out today but the brakes and the chain aren't looking so good so i'm going to have to take it in to be repaired... hopefully that won't take too long...

you moved from lil old england to Colorado... that is some change!

My bike is a mountain bike... lucky really, there are so many hills and lack of roads in wales!

Oh, drat don't you hate that .. you get all ready and rearing to go and then .. uhhhhhh! Hopefully it will not take too long and you will be wizzing around the country side like a mad dog! Yep, it was a major culture shock for sure; but, it is very beautiful here so I think I can live with it. We are very close to the foothills of the Rockie Mountains so we can be there in a short amount of time, the major mountain areas where people ski are around 2 1/5 hours so that is not bad. I got a mt bike a few months ago so I am hoping to master that and here you can do both reallly easily depending on what you want to do. You must be fit going around all those hill in Wales ehh?

I'm fairly new to mountain biking but I love to ride the muddy trailing around central Missouri. I have a used Diamondback Sorrento that is probably 7 years old. The mud is taking a toll on the drive train and I'm getting parts to over haul it.

Hi, I am from SF, California. I got into cycling last year, when I got married to my husband who has been doing this for years now. This summer we are going to be (gently) touring Northern California. (gently because I am having a baby in May)

im currently a junior civil engineer at penn state university. two years ago i was big into mountain biking. i now have more passion for the road, though i am just beginning. i have never done any competitive cycling.

i am very interested by a lot of what everyone says on this forum.

My father "introduced" me to a small bicycle as I was 6. And since then I spent a good percentage of my life on my wheels. I wrecked about 10 bikes in the process, but that's how I express my appreciation for this miracle created by Karl Friedrich Drais von Sauberbronn in the 1860s. I'm interested in all about bicycles. I love to ride on every every kind of weather. I feel incomplete without my wheels !

Hey I'm from Mercer Island WA. Being still in high school, I put in only about 100 miles a week, on my 35 lb 12 spd. (Second hand for $20, looking for a better one so as to begin racing).

well, thought i should introduce myself:

i'm 33, a triathlete-turned-cyclist; i live in Victoria, BC, Canada. i own an old (like dinosaur, 1984ish) Olmo frame kitted out with a Campy Mirage set.

i'll have a lot of questions later; for now i think i'll just troll and learn.

Based in Rochester NY (Yes, its February and there is snow on the ground). I ride 30-50 miles 5-7 days out of every 14 on the Erie Canal multiuse recreational path that runs through the area. Looking forward to getting back on a new bike after a really bad OTB wipeout on the Canal Path last year which resulted in a grade 2-3 ACJ disruption and 3-4 months of physical therapy. I'm still trying to decide between a Devinci Amsterdam, Trek 7500, Fuji Del Rey, or a Giant Cypress SX -spring 2004 edition. If anyone has any advice or wants to elaborate on any experience they've had with any one of these bikes please let me know.
Basically I'm looking for a light and durable bike that can take the stress of being ridden about 400 miles or the length of the entire Erie Canal later this summer. cya
