Where are you from, what do you do?
Hi All,
I'm from the UK, nowhere as stunning & sunny as you guys.
I ride between 30 - 100 miles per week for pleasure (too old for that racing stuff) and participate in charity rides ie London - Paris, London - Brussels + plus whatever else takes my fancy.
I am a Fresh Food Specialist (sound gooey eh?) it is.
Cheers

Paul I'm from Canada and we are right in the middle of one of the coldest, snowiest, severe winters we have had in ages. It may be "sunny and stunning" but is it ever COLD. Oh well, February always means that the days are getting longer and the sun a little higher, the worst is over, we hope..........byfred

Hello, where in Ontario are you at? I'm in the GTA, well slightly North. What was the shop you owned and where was it located? How serious are you getting back into cycling? Just a week-end warrior, or full blown 100+km a day?
I have also been off my bike for a # of years due to knee operations and other life choices. I use to also race out here in jrs and CAT2/3, that was 10 years ago. Been back on bike since July 7th. Lost 26lbs, and riding 120+km/day. Yes, even thru this Arctic weather that has hit us.
Did you ride today? Piece of advice, stay away from Newmarket CyclePath. They lie, take for-ever to order products, and just have a lousy ran business. Ask anyone in that area....

Hey Memph
I am located on the East side of Brampton. I try and train about an hour every day but it only works out about 3 to 5 times a week. The shop I owned was north of Shelburne and was quite small. I only did about 10 grand in business a year but it was a fun hobby and a great experience.
Sorry for the delay in response, work and such yada yada!
Advice back at you: All cycle path shops have an average markup of approximately 140% and I don't want to start knocking the service because I won't be able to stop..... I used to ride for them years ago. I started ordering parts over the border, check out supergo, it is awesome!!!
Do you ever ride the forks of the credit? How about rattle snake point?

I live in Sydney/NSW/Australia. I am a police officer. I was until recently training 4-5 days a week avg 65km sessions. Due to a work related back injury I have had to halve my time on the bike and I am only doing a few days a week an hour or so at a time :-(

I am living in the wonderful wonerland like bwilkes .. Colorado Springs! It is a fantastic place to do "anything" you want. I have not been ridin' for long; but, love it an other addition to my running! I joined a cycling club in the Springs so I have met many new folks with different agendas .. just hoping to get better with every down stroke .. wanna get with the fast set one of these days. Yep, cold, long days right now; but, every day there is more daylight yahoooooooooooooo! I work on the Air Force Academy which is perfect for training. Slow traffic (less nutters), 4' shoulders, hills and flats - perfect. Maybe I will see other forum folk riding around?!?!?!? Who is out there?

I'm from Salem oregon, I try to ride a few times a week, but this time a year its pretty hard to get motivated enough to go in the wind and rain...
I'm the parts manager for a Chevrolet dealer, I ride to work an average of 4 times a week from april till october.
Completed my first century last summer (unsupported), and am planning on doing the two day, 200 mile Seattle to Portland ride in July this year... which I've heard only good things about.
I'm lucky to live in an area that not only has flat farm roads, but within ten miles, you can find some heart attack inducing climbs..

Hello
I'm from Melbourne, Australia.
I found this link when doing a Google search for something bike-related and looks like a great place to be.
I used to race crits, road and track, fell out of the habit when I moved to Sydney, which is a god-awful place to ride a bike. I'm back in Melbourne now, and riding for the sheer joy of being out there.
Look forward to getting to know you!
Cheers

I'm from Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA (alt 6500 ft), I spin three times a week because I don't like riding in the dark. I work 7-4 in logistics, in front of a computer all day. If it doesn't get below freezing, I ride for fun 40 to 60 miles on the weekends. As the days get longer I'll ride to work.
I just finished Lance Armstorong's book "It's Not About the Bike", great book about a heck of a rider, good for the cold winter nights.
Excellent book choice .. where do you ride in the Springs?

Hi there from USA
I have been to your country - beautiful - it was back in the 1990's; but, I remember it well. Do you have a lot of support for your training? You look like you have some biking fans! Family?
