Tire recommendation, please

I am a weekend warrior, 200 Lbs and definitely NOT a racer.(But I do
like putting reasonably nice stuff on my bike.)

Panaracer T-Serv. They come in any size you'd need (25mm and up), and
wear like iron. They have a kevlar belt that makes them "almost"
impervious to most road debris. They're pretty light (250g for 25mm),
take a lot of pressure (125psi) and feel like "performance tires". To
top it off, they're pretty cheap (should easily fall in your budget
range). About the only thing to not like about 'em is that they can
be a bear to get off a rim (which is to say they're not likely to roll
off on their own).

Definately 25 mm on rear wheel - possibly 23 mm on front wheel. Is the
German Continental tire an option around there? If so, my recommendation
would be: Continental Grand Prix 3000. Look for details on their fine

Specialized Mondo Pro or Vredestein Fortezza. I've gone off
Continentals - I don't know if you have flints in New Hampshire, but we
certainly do in Hampshire (UK) and they slice the sidewalls mercilessly.

I switched out the original tires on my Veloce for Continental Gran Prix
3000 and the difference was startling! The rolling resistance was so much
lower that the bike even coasted faster. That was last June. I have had
only one flat since then--a piece of wire the size of a staple (the desk
staple kind) while riding on the side of a busy highway where all the
rubbish collects.
