Flushing Shimano STI Shifters...
I have heard from various posts on this newsgroup that a WD-40 flush of STI
shifters will "help them along". I plan on either lubricating or flushing
my DA shifters - are the Flight Deck electronics safe from this, or can they
be damaged?
Thanks

'STI repair kit'-you are flushing up where the shift guts are, not toward the
back..Shouldn't hurt it. Remember WD-40 is often used as a 'water displacement'
spray.

It's good for cleaning, displacing water and as a temporary lube, but it
doesn't last for serious lubrication.
