Restoring clearcoat on carbon fiber?
Does anyone have any tips on removing rub marks on the clear coat of carbon
cranks? Can I use something like turtle wax after I clean the cranks and
expect an improvement? Thanks for any help or website links. Eric

If you do intend to use an auto wax be sure to check the label to
determine if it is a 'cleaner/wax' as apposed to strictly a polish wax
only. (The former will have a very slight abrasive compound in it, and
will further thin/remove the clear coat on your carbon cranks. (An
extreme example of a cleaner wax would for instance be polishing
compound).

Thanks Cipher and Kenny, Lemond Pledge sounds crazy enough to try and turtle
wax does contain abrasives so I won't be using that. Thanks. Eric
