2. The money I spend on gear is inversely proportional to the time I
spend riding. Damn winter. Nice bikes, though.

4. Get a lighter bike, carry a bigger lock.

4a The sum of lighter bike and bigger lock equals weight of original
bike/lock.

4b Lighter bike thus equals lighter wallet not reduced riding weight.

ergo: Progress/improvement is never in the direction intended.

If you start an out-and-back ride going upwind, the wind will magically shift
180 degrees just in time for the return leg.

the absolute necessity for reaching the destination is directly
proportional to road debris.

i had a legal document to get in the mail under time. a twelve mile
ride to the word processor. a nice ride. i caught a ups truck
downhill and downwind going 35-38 solid on a new calosahatchee river
bridge-
a roofing nail mit roof washer straight thru the front out the back
and point the inner rim. 14 feet of bikeway and i ...
with an imploring skyward glance, i said a few words to the self
sealing tube, pulled the expletive deleted out...
and made the time. didn't even lose air.
there's a moral here.
get the pig!!!!!
