what a differece 3 days makes!!!

last saturday morning my new house looked like this:

a slab, a pile of lumber and my ride.

Well, every night since then I have made it a habit to stop by the job
site at 3:45, to check up on my workers, and the quality of their work
but... and I also bring along a cooler packed with ice and a case or two
of BEvERages to show them the boss-man is not a _complete_ @ssh*le (I'm
my own G.C. and I'm subbing most of the labor ;-)

Well, as of 6:00 tonight she stands tall and pretty:

All ready for the Code Inspectors to come in and sign off on the framing
tomorrow) and then the roofers to come lay the felt and shingles,
while the masons to start the brick work, and I hang the doors and
windows. And then by next monday we are ready for the painfully slow
part of the process plumbing, electrical and HVAC subs can come in. Need
to remember to schedule them so they are not tripping over each other......

Man, I forgot how much WORK it was to G.C. your own house!

2 with just 2 people in the entire corporation.

though... I'm sure there may be a lot more codes to pass, and inspectors to
wait for in that area too.

Frame a house in a day? Is it square? Speed isn't everything in
construction. Good craftsmanship can take a little longer, and I'd better
MPD Blue would choose workmanship over speed any day.

are square, and quite good. he just found a number of time saving
techniques. that's why he has been right out straight for the past few
years. very good customer references. needs only word of mouth
advertisement.

Indeed.
I can design a bike in CAD for you in a day. Sure thing, not a problem. I
sure as hell wouldn't ride it though....

Must be why they had to have the cable and internet connection shut off
last year..... to busy making all that money to stop and pay the bills?

Let me get this straight, you cannot find or hold a regular
