Nice hills around NJ/NY area?
Questions for anyone living in the NY/NJ area? I will be moving from California to NY/NJ area (it sucks esp the weather there) :(, are there nice hills (rolling, steady climbs, extreme grades) that you guys can recommend??? Thanks

Sure there are. If you're going to be around NYC then Rt 9W (NJ, just over the GW bridge) should have enough climbing for ya. Nothing quite as impressive as CA, but you'll get a good workout. Lots of sprints, too, if you're going through the city...What area(s) specifically?

There is basically any kind of ride you want to do in the NJ/NY area. I ride around Harriman State Park/Bear Mtn. Has some very impressive climbs, but then again I have never ridden in Ca. If you start at the Harriman State Park/Bear Mtn area and go north along the NY Throughway on a map most of that area is very mountainous.
